Sodra has transferred 23.9 million Litas into the Commercial Union pension fund account.
During the first quarter of 2007, Commercial Union Lietuva received a share of the residents social insurance tax assigned to clients' personal pension funds accounts and initiated a process of investment. 17.2 million Litas of newly acquired assets were transferred into the "Europensija Plius" (Europension Plus) fund, 5.1 million Litas were transferred into the "Europensija" (Europension) fund and 1.6 million Litas were transferred into the "Europensija Ekstra" (Europension Extra) fund. The equity of the "Commercial Union Lietuva" pensions fund has received increased new payments of 19.4% and this year amounts to 143.2 million Litas. For the first time this month 5.5 of the income of the pensions funds participants was transferred from Sodra to the accounts of the pensions funds participants, from which state social insurance payments were calculated . Last year the share of the transferred income amounted to 4.5%.
"Compared with the previous time period, for this first quarter of the year, the sum transferred to our company clients' accounts increased by 31.7%. One of the most important reasons for such growth - in 2006 there was an influx of new pension fund clients who flooded in", says Commercial Union Lithuania general director Asta Ungulaitiene.
