Romania: The first Aviva – MDRT seminar in Bucharest

After Aviva launched and co-sponsored the first MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) conference in Romania last year, we've come up with a new first for this year: the first Aviva - MDRT seminar in Bucharest.

After Aviva launched and co-sponsored the first MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) conference in Romania last year, we've come up with a new first for this year: the first Aviva - MDRT seminar in Bucharest. The seminar took place on 13 April 2007 at the World Trade Center, boasting guests of honour: Matteo Pederzoli - regional director of the MDRT Europe office, Cristina Poenaru - MDRT ambassador for Romania, Moshe Hadari - MDRT lead for Great Britain, Dinos Kyriakou - president of MDRT European region.

MDRT - Million Dollar Round Table is the first international association of professionals in the finance sector, including in its membership 1% of the worldwide total number of life insurance consultants - those who are the very best. Representing companies from 74 countries, the members of MDRT have carved out an excellent reputation, constantly demonstrating their exceptional professional abilities and ethical conduct of the highest level through the provision of their services to the highest standard to their clients.

The objective of this conference was to promote the concept of the MDRT amongst the leading members of Aviva's financial consultancy department, with the conference promoting the conditions of eligibility for membership of the MDRT, their mentoring programme and techniques based on personal experiences for securing new sales. In the course of the seminar recognition was also given to the 2006 performance of the best salespeople in Aviva.

"Every day more and more families lose their most valuable asset - the ability to earn an income. Many of these families will therefore not enjoy any kind of insurance. We have witnessed the success achieved in other markets with regard to educating people to protect their incomes. We are proud of the fact that we have been able to bring some of the leading insurance experts from across the world to Romania and we thank the Aviva company for the opportunity that they have given us," said Matteo Pederzoli.

"The Aviva-MDRT conference forms part of Aviva's strategy to have the best trained and motivated financial consultants, who offer their clients quality services of the highest standard, and the seminar organised together with MDRT is just a first step in our efforts to achieve those objectives," said Shah Rouf, director general of Aviva Life Insurance.
