Romania: First ever Easter egg hunt organised by Aviva, in Her?str?u Park

Aviva Life Insurance today organised an Easter egg hunt in Her?str?u Park (the Children's Balloon), the first ever such competition, aimed at children between four and 10 years of age.

Aviva Life Insurance today organised an Easter egg hunt in Herăstrău Park (the Children's Balloon), the first ever such competition, aimed at children between four and 10 years of age.

Hundreds of children and parents responded to the invitation issued by the British insurance company, coming along big and small alike to seek out the eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny, with some help from Aviva. Those taking part were delighted to find themselves in a fairy-tale world, in which they met their favourite characters and the Easter Bunny's team, who'd got a whole load of surprises ready for them! A team of artists painted the little ones' faces, and the "balloon modeller" surprised them whenever he got the chance.

The climax that everyone was waiting for was the "Easter egg hunt", which entailed looking for painted eggs (made of wood and especially made for the competition) which had been well hidden by the organisers. A whole crowd of children wearing rabbit ears rushed to sign up for the contest, with each painted egg located being exchanged for a chocolate egg by the Aviva bunny. The competition was made up of two rounds and a final, and the contender who managed the best results went home with a bicycle!

With this unprecedented competition, Aviva Life Insurance is launching a series of "Happy Hour" events, through which it is aiming to promote on the Romanian market traditions and customs imported from the markets in which it operates.

The Easter egg hunt is one of the oldest Anglo-Saxon traditions to mark the arrival of spring and the re-birth of nature. For this reason, Aviva has decided to launch a series of "Happy Hour" events specifically for this holiday, not least because "Aviva" also has the meaning of "spring time".

The Easter egg hunt is a festive celebration found quite frequently in Western Europe, involving a meticulous search for concealed painted eggs. Those who take part are children up to the age of 10, and the winner of the competition is the one who manages to get hold of the most eggs.
