Aviva has announced the launch of its Tennis Open for the second consecutive year. Reserved for players aged 35 and over, this is the only national tournament of its type in France.
Created and organised by Sport Plus Conseil, the Aviva Tennis Open is a national tennis event with 40 qualifying rounds, which will take place from March to September 2007.
The best players will take part in the national final, from 3-7 November, at Club Med Pompadour near Limoges, in France's Limousin region. Numerous prizes will be awarded during the qualifying rounds, as well as 12 long weekends in Venice and Istanbul for the winners of the final.
In 2006, nearly 4,000 players took part in the Aviva Tennis Open, which was reserved for over 45s, of whom 280 participants made it through to the grand final.
