What do women want? This is a question posed by many men in a quandary, especially on and around 8 March.
Aviva Life Insurance has carried out a study of the consumer habits of Romanians which might just answer this question and also offer a few clues as to what women in Romania want.
According to the study, 40% of those surveyed say that they do not enjoy all the material things that they would like. 49% are worried because they've not managed to save enough money and only 18% stated that they would like someone else to take care of their financial affairs. The Aviva study shows that Romanian women are independent people who feel the need for financial and emotional autonomy.
"Women realise that real freedom comes from financial independence, and this perhaps explains the fact that 60% of Aviva Romania's financial advisors are women. The Aviva study doesn't only take account of single women, but also married women, who worry for their future and that of their family. The savings schemes offered by Aviva Life Insurance give clients access to local and international capital markets, availing them of the opportunity to invest in some of the most competitive markets. As a global company administering over 430 billion euros' worth of assets, Aviva has a client portfolio of over 35 million people worldwide (of whom there are 400,000 in Romania) whom it has helped to obtain financial independence and security," according to Shah Rouf, director general of Aviva Life Insurance Romania.
