The Aviva offer, which incorporates the “good advice” prism, is part of a systematic approach begun by the company many years ago. It includes a prior analysis of the customer’s circumstances and objectives, the composition of his asset base, his family situation, age and investment timeframe, in order to offer the investments that best suit his personal circumstances.
Switch from euro to unit-linked and enjoy more benefits
The downward trend in the profitability of euro products is set to continue, owing to the current level of compulsory rates.
The possibility of converting a euro-denominated contract into a unit-linked contract therefore constitutes a real opportunity for Aviva customers as it will enable them to access a more modern, more flexible and more diversified contract which will better equip them to attain their financial and wealth goals. Customers who have a life insurance contract in euros and want to boost the dynamism of their investments can now switch to financial products with greater performance potential and benefit from the renowned quality of Aviva Gestion d’Actifs’ financial management in the long term, without losing any accrued tax benefits.
This approach represents a continuation of the strategy that AFER, with the support of Aviva, began in December 2005, inviting policyholders to convert their euro-denominated contracts into unit-linked contracts.
The Aviva approach: transferring savings free of charge
Aviva invites policyholders with a contract in euros, Norwich Libre Placement (NLP), to switch their savings to the Norwich Libre Option2 (NLO2) unit-linked contract, while retaining the tax benefits accrued by their previous policy.
Aviva customers simply transfer 100% of the available savings in NLP to NLO2, accompanied by an additional payment of at least 20% of the amount transferred. The customer must allocate a minimum of 20% of his savings to one or more equity products.
The NLO2 contract has a solid reputation in the market for its highly competitive management fees (just 0.55%) and offers a choice of 19 investment products*, from the safest to the riskiest.
For the contract conversion process, until 30 June 2006, savings will be transferred free of charge (the additional payment is subject to the usual investment charge, a maximum of 5%).
