Clients and financial advisers alike have quickly recognised the benefits of the recently launched Navigator Access.
Since being launched in August, Navigator Access has already secured business from over 40 adviser groups.
According to Tim Cobb, Aviva’s general manager products, Navigator Access was designed around feedback from financial advisers to ensure the product really suited what their clients were looking for.
A broad range of adviser groups are already using Navigator Access including industry leaders, such as Professional Investment Services, Bongiorno’s and Meritum.
“We have worked very closely with financial advisers on this product so we were confident it would be successful but the take up is even better than anticipated,” said Tim.
“The beauty of this product is that it suits many different types of clients. Ranging from young people looking to contribute regular affordable amounts to an investment, investors looking to build wealth using margin lending, to retirees who don’t need all the bells and whistles of a full service but want the benefits of a managed fund,” he said.
Investors can also take the opportunity to enter into a non-commutable allocated pension facilitated by the Transition to Retirement legislation, which only commenced on 1 July 2005. Apart from Navigator, this type of pension is still not widely available in the market.
Low initial contributions and affordable minimum regular payments make Navigator Access an especially attractive product for young people looking to start a savings strategy.
“One of the keys to a robust and long term financial plan is beginning a savings and investment strategy early in working life. Navigator Access is perfectly suited for this life phase,” said Tim.
For the lump sum investment the minimum initial investment is $3000, with minimum additional investments of $1000 and for the Regular Investment facility the minimum initial investment is $1000 with minimum monthly or quarterly direct debit instalments of $100.
By choosing to invest in Navigator Access, clients have access to the best of the best investment managers and over 30 investment options, including four multi-manager diversified Pre Select Investment Options, four multi-manager single sector Pre Select Investment options and 23 single manager investment options.
“All of these options are available with an affordable fee structure and sophisticated tax optimisation strategies not available on other mini-wraps,” says Tim. “The success of this newly launched product is testament to the excellent features and financial advisers are quickly realising the numerous benefits for their clients,” he said.
