Aviva Life Insurance Company (Aviva) announces the appointment of William Hewlett as vice president & chief underwriter. Hewlett will direct all underwriting activities, including the company’s innovative AvivaGo™ and Aviva 24 expedited application processes for life insurance business.
Prior to joining Aviva, Hewlett served as a senior underwriting manager at MassMutual in Springfield, Mass, and at a number of other life insurance companies. He has experience in supporting a range of distribution channels, including agencies, banks and structured settlement brokers.
Hewlett earned his undergraduate degree from Lafayette College and his masters in business administration from the University of Massachusetts.
