Aviva Life Insurance Company (Aviva) has appointed Sean O’Brien as vice president of its agency business line and Gail Smith as vice president of customer services.
Aviva Life Insurance Company (Aviva) has appointed Sean O’Brien as vice president of its agency business line and Gail Smith as vice president of customer services.
O’Brien served as Aviva’s vice president of customer services since January of 2001. Prior to joining Aviva, he worked for Keyport Life Insurance Company in Boston, and has over 19 years of experience in all facets of insurance and annuity administration. He earned his undergraduate degree from Boston University and his master’s degree in management and organizational communication from Emerson College.
O’Brien succeeds Kevin McCoy who, after 24 years with Aviva, including nine as agency business line manager, will focus on specialized agency marketing programs.
Smith is a former vice-president of individual administration for Pan-American Life Insurance. She has previously held senior operational positions at Amerus Life and Guarantee Life. She earned her BS in business administration from Montclair State College in Upper Montclair, New Jersey.
