Aviva Australia today announced the signing of a new white label badge on the Navigator investment platform with Sydney based financial planning group First Capital.
First Capital is one of Australia’s fastest growing and most professional financial planning groups, specialising in educating teachers on financial issues, and recently establishing a dealer group aimed at helping advisers deal with succession planning issues.
Announcing the badge, Aviva chief operating officer Grant Salmon, said First Capital was an ideal badging partner due to the professionalism of their approach and their highly targeted client base.
"Since it was founded 10 years ago, First Capital has a strong track record in our industry for providing excellence in advice. By using the Navigator white label, their customers will also be receiving excellence in support and management for their investments.
In addition, First Capital advisers will have at their fingertips the latest research and client management tools which make dealing in this complicated and involved sector so much easier," said Grant Salmon.
Commenting on the badge, First Capital managing director Mr Richard Tasich said he was delighted to have entered into the agreement with Navigator as it was a system that would help both his customers and his advisory team.
"Going forward, our customers will have even greater confidence in the First Capital name. We can now present a complete solution to our customers under the one banner and we will be working very closely with Navigator to ensure all our customers are treated even better than they are today.
The implementation of the First Capital Badge is a keystone in finalising our vertically integrated business model - from product to dealer group to adviser services. We have gained a lot of momentum over the last few years and have now finalised our dealer group offering. We believe we have found a model that can help solve many of the succession planning issues facing the bulk of today's advisers and we plan to offer this model as a value add via our dealer group," Mr Tasich said.
The First Capital badge is the third announced by Aviva in the last four weeks and is expected to represent more than $2 billion on the Navigator platform in five years time.
According to Aviva’s Grant Salmon the strategy of providing badges was very important to building a solid relationship with the leading financial planning groups in Australia who are not owned by the big four banks.
"Aviva has always positioned itself as the home of the non-aligned for financial advisory groups. We see our role in the market as fostering choice and independence.
Badging has become increasingly popular, as more successful advisor groups want their customer’s to realise that they stand alongside the platform they recommend. It also gives the Advisers a much more intimate relationship with their product provider, and this assists in developing new products and services which benefit the end customer," said Mr Salmon.
