Commercial Union Poland Life Insurance Company has won the tender for management of the assets of the employee pensions programme established by companies of ENEA Holding, one of Poland’s leading energy distributors. It will be the largest pensions programme managed by CU Life.
Commercial Union Poland Life Insurance Company has won the tender for management of the assets of the employee pensions programme established by companies of ENEA Holding, one of Poland’s leading energy distributors. It will be the largest pensions programme managed by CU Life.
The programme will be established in the form of unit-linked group life insurance. It will include employees of the holding’s parent company ENEA SA, based in Poznań, and the 17 companies of the group. Therefore a joint agreement was signed between representatives of the employers and employees of the involved companies from ENEA Holding.
Later the employers’ representatives signed an insurance agreement with CU Life covering the management of the program. The application for registration of the pensions programme, and the required documents, have been submitted to the Insurance and Pension Funds Supervision Committee (Polish regulator).
The bid presented by CU Life was judged as the most beneficial by the special pensions programme committee, which included representatives of the employees (also trade unions) operating in ENEA Holding. The committee employed an insurance broker as its advisor.
It will be the largest pension programme managed by CU Life. There are almost 7,700 employees eligible to join the program in ENEA Holding companies.
CU Life currently manages 37 employee pension programs. A further 70 programs are awaiting registration by the regulator. Another company from the Commercial Union group, CU Mutual Funds, also manages 3 pension programmes. The largest one is the programme established by another large energy distribution company.
