About Aviva’s CSR programme
A team of volunteers drives the CSR programme in India across the Aviva locations in the country. A CSR Corporate Team at the head office oversees their work. The CSR programme is divided into two broad parameters of community development and environment. Under the community initiative the focus is on the welfare and development of children and elderly. The environment focus is on looking at waste management initiatives. Each location across the country has short listed associations who work for the above two causes. The team of volunteers contributes to these organisations in the form of clothes, blankets, school and household items, monetary donation as well as time spent by them on various projects.

One of the key successes of the CSR programme has been the literacy initiative, where the Aviva CSR volunteers teach students at schools run for the economically weaker sections of society. Some of the brighter students have even been sponsored for coaching classes to pursue higher studies.

Aviva India is keen to associate itself with associations who do not have enough resources and require assistance in terms of volunteers, money, clothes and food.

High levels of commitment and passion drive the Aviva CSR team. They are continuously looking at opportunities where they can contribute towards the welfare of those from less privileged economic and social backgrounds.
