2004 has been a year of solid growth for Navigator - now reporting close to $11 billion in combined funds under administration for the Navigator platform, Super Solutions Corporate Superannuation and Retail Investments.
One of the strongest results for the year is the growth of Navigator/ Super Solutions Corporate to more than $9.6 billion - an increase from $8.8 billion since the beginning of the year.
According to chief operating officer, Grant Salmon, this growth represents both a return of confidence in the equities market and the impact of recent management decisions.
"Navigator has many products doing very well this year and we are definitely seeing considerable support from financial advisers looking for an institution which provides top quality service and still keeps the end customer in mind," said Grant.
This hard-earned growth is also being complemented by a number of new and future initiatives, including the recent launch of Growth Pensions and the ongoing development of n-link.
Many financial advisers have quickly recognised the benefits of n-link – an online software package linking the advisers office to Navigator’s administration systems. Since launching, 25% of all investment switches are done on line and 800 advisers are authorised to use the system.
"We have also recently launched one of the most innovative products on the market - the Navigator Super Solutions Growth Pension and the Navigator Personal Investment Plan Growth Pension, and already we have seen some encouraging inflows for these products."
Navigator customers are voting with their dollars and on the whole are supporting Australian Equities, which has seen inflows of more than $60 million this year, compared to outflows of $7.4 million in 2003.* This surge has been principally at the cost of Australian Fixed Interest which has fallen over the 12 months to September.
