There is a continuing trend for sales to split evenly between unit-linked and with-profit business. With-profit is a popular offshore proposition. With-profit business is reported in the sales figures of Norwich Union Life in the UK where it is reinsured.

Clive Witter, managing director, Norwich Union International, said: "Our new business figures have sustained consistent growth for some time now. We’re particularly pleased with this trend and expect it to continue into the future. Strong sales figures demonstrate that our strategy is working, that we have the right products in the right place at the right time and at the right price".
