Advisers across the country have voted Aviva equal first in Australia’s largest independent study of the life insurance and wealth management industry.
The Intermediaries Study, conducted and recently released by Taylor Management Consultants, surveyed more than 1,400 financial advisers, planners and brokers last October and November. The study compared the performance of major industry providers across a broad range of categories.
Allan Griffiths, chief executive officer, commented that the strong result was further proof of Aviva’s commitment to supply first rate products and services to advisers, but said it didn’t signify an opportunity for the company to take a rest. "I am delighted by this impressive result. However the worst reaction I or my team could make would be to slow the huge momentum that is evident throughout Aviva," he said.
Aviva received first place for its broad range of investment options and in categories which ranked the product and industry knowledge, pro-activeness and the availability of its business development managers.
Aviva received equal first placing in the top four categories considered the most critical by advisers, being:
- The clarity of explanation given to advisers if proposals are declined;
- The speed of processing underwriting assessments;
- The reputation of the company to deliver on promises; and
- The ability and knowledge of staff to understand and deal with issues faced by advisers.
Aviva also received equal first ranking for the usefulness of its technical training programs and seminars, and in the category which measures relationships advisers have with business development managers.
"This research is independent proof of Aviva’s high standard of service towards our key business partners – financial advisers," Allan said.
"We consistently performed equal to or above the industry standards in all benchmark categories and the Aviva team will continue to strive to maintain this position."
