Allan Griffiths has officially been appointed to the role of chief executive officer of Norwich Union Australia.
Rob Garnsworthy retired on 24 April 2003.
In his new position as chief executive officer, Allan has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting independent financial advisers and their businesses.
Allan was formerly managing director of Norwich Union Life and group director of Distribution, and as such has been a key contributor to the strategic direction of the Norwich Union group in Australia.
He will continue to be highly involved in the distribution arm of Norwich Union Australia, with support from dedicated and specialist teams.
Norwich Union Australia will continue to concentrate on the successful mastertrust business, Navigator, plus other key areas such as retirement savings and investment and life insurance products.
