Ian Beggs has been appointed Media Relations Manager for Norwich Union’s life & pensions business in York.
Norwich-born Ian, who is 34 and married with two young children, joins Norwich Union from the Halifax where he held the position of Senior Press Officer since 1997.
Commenting on his appointment, Ian said: “There are some significant challenges facing the life insurance industry at the moment, and many of the issues are of critical importance to consumers too.
"Norwich Union wants to lead industry discussion and be at the forefront of shaping change. The Media Team has a critical role to play in doing that. I’m very much looking forward to engaging the media in debate, and putting forward the views and perspective of the UK’s number one insurer.”
