Hibernian Life & Pensions has launched the 2002 version of its popular Celebration Bond. This market leading with profit bond has seen 1 billion euros invested since it was first launched in 1997.

Celebration 2002 is aimed at the medium to long-term investor who is attracted by the growth potential of investing in equities, but wants to avoid the vagaries of the stock market.

Ian Veitch, Director of Marketing Hibernian Life & Pensions, said: “With interest rates so low the Celebration Bond offers investors the chance of a higher rate of return than a straightforward deposit account, but with the smoothed returns of a with profit investment. The Celebration concept has been a winner with the public over a number of years and we are delighted to have passed the 1 billion euros threshold.”

Note to editors:

The minimum investment is 6,000 euros. A limited administration charge of 0.5% per annum of the value units is made for the first six years, there is also a 1% management charge, which is accounted for before the annual bonus rate is declared. Celebration 2002 is aimed at medium to long-term investment and penalties apply to early encashment on a scaled basis. A regular income may be taken from the bond, up to a maximum of 6% of the investment.
