Norwich Union has joined forces with the British Insurance Brokers' Association, (BIBA), to become the first company to be granted title sponsorship of the BIBA Conference (26 - 28 April).
Norwich Union has joined forces with the British Insurance Brokers' Association, (BIBA), to become the first company to be granted title sponsorship of the BIBA Conference (26 - 28 April).
The conference, entitled 'Harness the Power - People and Technology Pulling Together', will examine how people and technology can work together to develop successful businesses.
Patrick Snowball, chief executive, Norwich Union Insurance, said;
"This year's BIBA conference is particularly significant for Norwich Union. We're not only the first company to take lead sponsorship of the event, but the major investment we're making in IT to improve our service to brokers means that the theme of this year's event is highly appropriate.
"The conference theme addresses one of the most important issues facing our industry. Brokers who build upon their traditional people-based strengths through effective use of IT will have a powerful combination to take their business forward", he added.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Mike Williams, chief executive of BIBA, said: "We welcome Norwich Union's tremendous commitment to the broker market, working in association with BIBA, and we're delighted they've come on board as lead sponsor of the conference."
As a spin-off from Norwich Union's major sponsorship of UK Athletics, the company's exhibition stand at the conference will feature a competition to win a trip for two to the 2001 World Athletics Championships in Canada.
