Chris Cochrane

Appointed to the Group Executive Committee as Chief Information Officer in July 2026. Chris is also a member of the Aviva Central Services Board.
Chris is responsible for all aspects of technology across Aviva, leading the Group’s technology strategy with a focus on cyber security, artificial intelligence, cloud, digital and data transformation, platform modernisation, operational resilience and customer-focused innovation.
Experience and competencies
Chris has more than 20 years’ experience in senior technology roles across financial services and telecommunications.
Before joining Aviva, he was Group Chief Information Technology Officer at M&G plc. Prior to this, he held senior roles at BT Group, including Chief Information Officer of BT Global Services and Openreach Service Delivery.
