Better and brighter together

We embrace our collective vision to help our planet, customers, communities, and partners build a more positive future.

Driven by care, warmth, and a vision of optimistic innovation we strive to deliver better and brighter opportunities for all.

Embedding sustainability

Sustainability is a fundamental part of our strategy and integral to what we do as a business.

We’re committed to creating a brighter future for everyone

We’re focused on acting on climate changetaking social action, and running ourselves as a sustainable business.

We’ve been a recognised leader on sustainability issues for decades.

And for the third year running, we’ve been awarded the Ethical Accreditation by The Good Shopping Guide.

We’ve also been acknowledged by The Good Business Charter as a responsible business.

The Aviva Foundation

Together, we’re helping build stronger communities – today and for the future.

We aim to support people across the UK by...

... funding practical solutions to today’s challenges and investing in long-term change.

Founded and proudly supported by Aviva, the Aviva Foundation* makes funding decisions with one clear purpose: to maximise social impact. We focus on helping people build financial stability and supporting community-led climate action.

We share insights and evidence from our work back into Aviva and the wider financial services sector.  By doing so, we aim to shape more effective ways of supporting people – especially those facing the greatest challenges or with the most pressing needs.

You can find out more about our funding opportunities and impact by visiting our Foundation website.

*The Aviva Foundation is a Donor Advised Fund, administered by Charities Trust under charity registration number 327489.

Aviva apprentices

We recruit around 120 apprentices every year

Apprenticeships aren’t just for those starting out, although we do warmly welcome new entrants. We also offer apprenticeships so colleagues can learn on the job and build their skills for the future. Our apprenticeships are open to everyone, wherever they may be in their career.

Lots of our colleagues take part in these as part of their career progression. In fact, we have up to 45 different programmes at any given time and 405 colleagues are currently studying for an apprenticeship.

I was one of the older members of the cohort, and I think the big takeaway for me was that you're never too old to learn. For me, it was really good to get back into some structured learning. It was very broad. I enjoyed every bit of it.
