
Key achievements in 2006
We provided mandatory training for branch assistants to improve the service they offer our customers. They were taught skills such as time management and positive assertiveness.
Our call centre has once again been ranked top among our peers based on the quality and speed of our response.
In 2006 our child protection product, “Talisman”, was awarded 3rd most popular financial product on the market. Talisman provides child insurance coverage for serious illness as part of optional riders. It is currently the only insurance product of its kind in the Czech Republic.
We are in the process of updating our ethical code to ensure adherence not only by tied intermediaries but all employees throughout the business.
We now provide preventative medical care for employees through our contract with a medical practitioner.
To promote work/life balance, three female employees were offered part-time positions after returning from maternity leave.
We entered a long-term community partnership with Clowndoctor, a non-governmental organisation whose objective is to provide a pleasant hospital environment for young patients dealing with long-term illnesses.

Access to free medical information
As part of our customer care we introduced a unique service to the Czech market. Customers who purchase life insurance from Aviva can take advantage of a free 24/7 medical information line where they can seek advice relating to their health problems, find information about hospitals, preventative care etc. Approximately 20,000 customers have taken advantage of this service to date.
