Andrea Moneta joined Aviva in July 2008 as chief executive, Europe, and was appointed as a board director of Aviva plc on 29 September 2009. He is also a member of Aviva’s executive committee.
Professional qualifications and memberships
Andrea received honours degrees in Politics and Economics and Business Administration as well as executive training in Risk Management and Financial Markets (Wharton and NYU). He is also Dottore Commercialista and Revisore Contabile.
Andrea has held board and board committee positions as chairman, deputy chairman, CEO and board member in more than 35 companies across Europe and the Middle East.
Andrea is co-author of many articles and papers, and of a book on situation, trends and strategies in investment banking, merchant banking and asset management. He’s a regular guest speaker at leading conferences, seminars and universities.
Family and interests
Andrea is married and has two children. He spends his leisure time with his family and friends and enjoys playing sport, travelling and reading.
