Steve Bridger is Managing Director of Group Protection at Aviva plc.
Steve has worked in the group risk industry for over 25 years, joining Aviva in 2003, with roles previously at Zurich & Unum, building an extensive understanding of the market, the products & the competition.
Steve is responsible for the Group Protection business at Aviva, including strategy, propositions, actuarial, underwriting, operations, claims (group life, group income protection and group critical illness) and sales.
He is a member of the GRiD (market trade body) Steering Committee and the ABI’s Protection Committee; promoting and enhancing the protection market and is passionate about being able to give employees access to invaluable protection benefits through the workplace.
Outside of work Steve is married with 2 children, Harry and Charlotte. He is a long-suffering and resilient West Ham United fan and likes his cars.
Anthony is a member of the Innovation team in our UK Digital business. This team identify and test emerging concepts which have the potential to transform or disrupt the insurance industry, and ultimately deliver a great experience for our customers.
Laurence Beckett has been working with Aviva since 1989 and is currently the People Director for Retirement Solutions in UK Life. Laurence is a passionate supporter of the Diversity agenda and is currently the Allies Lead for Aviva Pride. He is a signed member of #heforshe and co-chairs the ‘Fuller Working Lives’ Government Strategy Group.
Nick Emmerson works in the UK Digital Customer Experience team, with a particular focus on mapping current and future customer experiences. He has worked for Aviva for 18 years in Life Customer Services, Global IT Operations and UK Digital where he has led multiple teams and departments.
David Schofield is Group Head of Corporate Responsibility for Aviva. He leads the Aviva group CR team in their work on areas including good governance and community development, including the group’s three year partnership with the British Red Cross, helping communities prepare for, and respond to, crises.
Matt has worked at Aviva for 10 years in the field of CSR, and is currently UK Environment Manager working on sustainability reporting, strategy and projects including the UK element of the British Red Cross partnership.
Paula Thomsen is Head of Assurance for Aviva in the UK. She’s worked in software testing for 25 years. Most of this time has been spent at Aviva, but Paula has also spent time working for a large diesel engine manufacturer in the North of England. Andrew Reid is Director of Financial and International Communications in the Group Communications team at Aviva.
Hugo works in the Group Communications team at Aviva, and has special responsibility for drafting speeches. Outside work he watches football, keeps chickens and is just about to start training for ministry in the Church of England.
Amy Chen is Senior Counsel in the Aviva Group’s Legal team.
Liz Kennett is a Media Relations Manager in the Aviva UK General Insurance press office and is responsible for home, travel and pet insurance queries.
Steve leads Aviva Investors’ Global Responsible Investment team which is responsible for integrating environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues across Aviva Investors’ c£250bn of assets under management.
Iain Hamilton is the UK GI's Head of Pricing and Underwriting. He began his career with Aviva in Feb 1996 in Household and Commercial Property Claims. He then undertook a secondment in our Customer Complaints Team before moving to Pricing in 1999 where he has been ever since.
Stuart Wright is Property & Facilities Director at Aviva Plc, responsible for operational property and facilities activity across the Aviva Group. Before joining Aviva, Stuart worked at PA Consulting Group and served in the Royal Engineers. Stuart is Chair of the Living Wage Foundation Advisory Council.
Hazel works as the Head of Household claims in Perth and also leads our Major Incident Response for UKGI. Hazel started work for Norwich Union in 1999 and has held numerous claims roles over the years, most notably starting systems thinking in Bodily Injury Bishopbriggs.
Lauren is the Media Relations Manager for UK Life here at Aviva. She is also the Deputy Chair for Aviva Prive, Aviva's LGBT Network.
Steve Davis has worked for Aviva for 24 years, beginning his career in Actuarial. He has worked in the bonds service area and has been offshore three times supporting the business in Pune, India. Steve now works as a Project Manager in Product Governance fixing errors made on policies which have led to customer or fund detriment.
Damian Cross has worked at Aviva for over 8 years within GI property claims and has worked within the property sectors private/public & asset management for over 20 years. Damian was recently admitted as an Honorary fellow of the British Damage Management Association for amongst other things driving collaboration between all major incident response parties for the benefits of the customers & communities. He is committed to leaving a clear legacy in how the insurance market & associated partners respond to communities in their time of need and has provided input into the recently produced BSI 12999 code of practice for the organisation & management of assets following incident damage.

Gavin Scaife has been a technical consultant for Asprea (Aviva) for the last 8 years. He has worked in domestic and commercial claims for the last 18 years across a number of different insurers and loss adjusters, initially starting his career in motor claims and underwriting.
Amanda Mackenzie is a member of Aviva's Group Executive currently on secondment to Project Everyone, working with the UN to make the Global Goals for Sustainable Development famous.

Anna Stone was appointed Group Archivist of Aviva in November 2000.
She discovered archives as a career half way through a degree in History at Exeter University. After a year of work experience in the archive section at Lloyds TSB, she took her MA in archives and records management at University College London. This included further work placements at BT and the Bank of England. Her first job after qualifying was as deputy archivist for Guinness based in an old hop store on the Park Royal Brewery.
Her first task on joining Aviva was to set up a new group archive in Norwich and transfer to it the archives of General Accident and Commercial Union which were then stored in Perth and London.
Alicia Jennings works in the Aviva Group Reporting team as a Senior Project Manager responsible for managing the corporate reporting suite.
Louise has worked for Aviva for twenty-six years (across all brands CU, CGU, NU and Aviva) and has gained a wealth of experience working across Strategy, Distribution, Marketing and propositions development for Annuities, Pensions and Protection.
