Supporting the Living Wage
As part of our commitment to challenging our sector to do better and work in everyone's best interests, we are proud supporters of Living Wage in the UK.
Aviva has paid the London Living Wage since just after its launch in 2005. In 2012 we extended this commitment to pay at least the Living Wage to our entire workforce across the UK. We became accredited as a UK Living Wage employer in April 2013 and fully compliant in October 2015.
This means that everyone on an Aviva site, regardless of whether they are permanent employees or third-party contractors or suppliers, receive the Living Wage, calculated independently, that reflects the true cost of living in the UK - helping them support both themselves and their families.
We are pleased to be demonstrating this Good Thinking for our industry and as a principal partner of the Living Wage Foundation encourage other employers to do the same.
