Speaking at conferences

CU Polska representatives spoke at three external CSR conferences and seminars, AvivaSA Turkey’s General Manager spoke in a panel discussion at a socially responsible investment conference. Aviva Spain business unit, Aseval took part in the first CSR meeting organised by ICEA (the Spanish Insurance and Pension fund companies Cooperative Research institute). Aviva Italy’s sponsorship of a climate change conference is discussed in the environment section.

United Nations Global Compact

Aviva Turkey Sigorta has been a member of the United Nations Global Compact initiative since 2006 and its General Manager is on the local Global Compact Steering Committee. Aviva was one of 12 companies to launch a Global Company initiative in Lithuania.

Delta Lloyd Group’s 200th anniversary

Delta Lloyd Group organised several events this year to mark its 200th anniversary. These included:

• the ‘Change Your Perspectives Congress’, an exploration of the consequences of globalisation for the Dutch economy
• a ‘two for the price of one’ offer for customers to attend Symphonica in Rosso 2007 at the Gelredome Stadium, an offer which almost 50,000 customers took up
• two parties, one for 10,000 employees and partners from various countries and one for 800 Delta Lloyd retirees.
