Communities

	Description of priorities
	We will continue to actively encourage our business units to participate in community activities to drive ‘Prosperity and Peace of Mind’.
	We will increase employee awareness of community giving initiatives and voluntary programmes across the region.
	As an example, we have pledged our support to the charity, Habitat for Humanity, to help build houses for a community in Constanta County in Romania. The international charity works with businesses to help disadvantaged communities to become self sufficient. Each house costs 25,000 Euros to construct and needs 25 volunteers to build one house in five days. The project begins in September 2008 and we will actively encourage our employees across Aviva Europe to volunteer their time or support the project in other ways.
