We employ 3,280 people in locations across France.  Our primary business activities are life insurance, general insurance and asset management.

Key achievements in 2006

We completed the roll-out of the paperless office concept. This has been a major step forward in the reduction of the environmental impact of our company, as well as heightening customer satisfaction through increased efficiency.

We have launched new websites to provide better and more transparent services for customers. We also provide customers with newsletters and commercial documentation containing adaptations of consumer law.

Employee mobility is key to Aviva’s HR strategy. Mobility allows personal and professional development and therefore renews enthusiasm and innovation. Promoting employee mobility paid great dividends last year. Putting vacancies on the intranet, discussing change at annual review and using career committees to identify candidates, all helped to increase retention, improve awareness about the group and avoid compulsory redundancy.

We initiated dialogue with the local authorities in order to strengthen our position within the community. Through our relationship with the town council we hope to be able to take part and aid community initiatives as well as promote recruitment within the local area.
