We are the offshoring arm of Aviva UK. We oversee the Business Process Offshoring and IT Offshoring operations in locations across India and Sri Lanka and hope to employ around 7,800 people by 2008.

Business Overview

Aviva Global Services (AGS) is the offshoring arm of Aviva UK. It oversees its Business Process Offshoring and IT Offshoring operations with the vendor partners situated in Noida (near Delhi), Pune, Bangalore and Chennai in India and Colombo in Sri Lanka. Part of the set-up is under the Built-Operate-Transfer model, where the staff from our Pune, Bangalore and Colombo operations will be transferred into Aviva rolls as agreed with our vendor partners. We should employ around 7,800 people by 2008.

AGS is actively involved in several CSR initiatives and we strive to be a good corporate citizen, recognising our responsibility to work in partnership with the communities in which we operate. We support community development projects covering health care, education, environment and focus towards development of underprivileged children. Some of the programmes are jointly organised along with Aviva India.

Managing CSR in our business

AGS drives the CSR programme in India and Sri Lanka in each location through our CSR-nominated managers from the vendor partners. Each location has its own CSR committee comprising of employees from operations as well as other functions, with the senior management team reviewing progress.

The event calendar for community services is planned in advance to allow employees and their families to participate in corporate volunteering. Special events are organised under the CSR programme to support the community's needs either by volunteering or generating funds through different activities, for example, greetings cards painting and Diwali lamp sales. Proceeds from the sales are donated to the community.
