Business Overview

Aviva Life Insurance India is a joint venture between Aviva and Dabur India. As per government regulations, Dabur has a 74% stake and Aviva plc 26%. Mr Bert Paterson is the Managing Director for Aviva India. Aviva entered India in June 2002 as the 12th private life insurer and has retained its 7th rank among private life insurers in India from 2005 to 2006.

We have 3,643 employees and 15,406 financial planning advisors (FPA). Aviva has 113 branches in India and through its bancassurance partner locations; Aviva products are available in 398 towns and cities across India. 

Managing CSR in our business

Our CSR-nominated manager is responsible for co-ordinating our CSR activities and is supported by a team at corporate office. We have a volunteer programme in place and encourage all employees to participate in various initiatives. 

We also appointed CSR leaders across all company branches. They are responsible for organising activities and running their CSR programmes at a local level. In 2006 they have worked closely with associations focused on the elderly, children and the environment. The team leader provides monthly updates to the nominated manager on various CSR initiatives. All major national activities and fundraisers are organised by the CSR nominated manager and team at the corporate office.
