Business Overview

Aviva Sigorta A.Ş. was founded in 1988 and operates in general insurance. Our head office is in Istanbul with 4 regional offices in Ankara, Adana, Bursa, Izmir, 6 representative offices and 524 agencies throughout Turkey. Aviva Sigorta also has five bank agents. We have 174 staff members headed by Ertan Firat, General Manager. We are ranked 14th in the market as of Q3, 2006 and have a 2.5% market share.

Aviva Sigorta aims to be one of the most respected companies in the sector in relation to corporate social responsibility (CSR). We believe that our commitment to the CSR programme will affect our perception in the market and will help attract prospective employees, customers and business partners as well as consolidating existing relationships.

Managing CSR in our business

The nominated manager, Eda Kalayci, co-ordinates all CSR-related activities. She is responsible for co-ordinating joint projects with our Life and Pensions company, Aviva Hayat ve Emeklilik (Aviva HE).

Our CSR committee continues to lead and communicate our CSR strategy. The committee includes representatives from different departments such as Human Resources, Claims, Marketing and Sales. CSR related issues and projects are discussed at regular committee meetings. Once finalised by the group, the chosen projects are implemented.

To embed CSR throughout our business we also report CSR activities to our agency board and executive committee. The agency board consists of agents from different regions who meet to discuss issues relating specifically to agents.
