Business Overview

Aviva head office operates in partnership with the Aviva business units in fulfilling two primary purposes – corporate development and corporate governance. Aviva head office is responsible for providing clear leadership on group-wide strategy and resource allocation, and for performance and stakeholder management. In addition, the head office acts as the centre of support for all business units across the group. It is primarily located at St Helen's in London with Aviva head office employees also in Norwich, York, Perth, Bescott and High Wycombe.

Managing CSR in our business

Sarah Rickman, Office Manager of Aviva head office, ensures compliance and oversight of the CSR policies and programme. Responsibilities include consolidating, promoting and implementing CSR activities and initiatives within Aviva head office. Other staff groups responsible for furthering the CSR agenda include the Norwich Union Operational Services Facilities team, Aviva head office Human Resources team, Group Financial Crime and Group Corporate Affairs.  

Their efforts successfully promoted the CSR agenda throughout the year, specifically by ensuring inclusion on the induction agenda, introducing a monthly action report to the Management Committee and via representation on the Norwich Union Think Global Act Local committee. Additionally, the Friends of CSR programme continues to advance CSR initiatives departmentally.
