Recognition for our diversity agenda

We were delighted that our efforts in embracing diversity were recognised by external surveys and monitoring organisations, as these give us an objective measure of our success.

Aviva’s “Think Again” diversity campaign was awarded Business in the Community’s Opportunity Now City Award in 2006. The City Award recognises businesses within the City of London for their innovation and progress in creating gender inclusive workplaces. We also received the Opportunity Now Gold Award (where we improved on our bronze and silver ratings in 2004 and 2005) and a Silver Award from Race for Opportunity (improved from bronze in 2005).

We received the grand award for best internal production for our “Embracing Diversity” DVD at the 2006 New York Festivals Film and Video Awards.

The Times recognised Aviva as one of the top 50 best places for women to work. The Times “Top 50 Places Where Women Want to Work” supplement, in association with Aurora, compares how the UK’s largest and most progressive employers meet women’s needs and interests.
