Key achievements in 2006
As a joint result of DSF stabilisation, training courses and specific incentives put in place, product lapse rates – being the ultimate measure of customer trust – showed a spectacular improvement during the year. This represents the beneficial effect of our focus on the needs of our customers.
The biggest challenge in 2006 was the rapid growth in new business volume. This has caused temporary employee shortages and overtime requirements in some departments. However, the problem has been solved relatively swiftly by assigning colleagues from other departments to areas most impacted by new business growth.
We extended the number of participants and the range of training programmes to employees. Besides purely technical training, we offer numerous other classes such as English language, CPD and management training.
In 2006, Aviva Hungary participated in the Aviva Group employee survey for the first time.
In terms of other benefits, we continued to run a highly successful cafeteria programme. It offers alternative opportunities to receive the annual bonus with a more tax-efficient method.
Health and safety is a key consideration in our everyday work. In terms of prevention of accidents, we regularly run short training courses on workplace safety. Healthy lifestyle is also promoted; we have a successful company football team and provide free fitness/wellness passes for head office staff.
