Corporate responsibility (CR) is key to delivering our business strategy and is vital in maintaining the trust of our customers and all our stakeholders.
Our 2009 report
Our 2009 online corporate responsibility (CR) report provides a detailed review of Aviva Group CR performance in our worldwide operations for the year ended 31 December 2009.
Our CR strategy has five main focus areas:
- Customers delivering value and service and building confidence.
- Environment by working in our spheres of control, influence and concern, we manage our own impacts and look for solutions with others.
- Our people supporting our colleagues to perform at their best.
- Communities investing in initiatives to alleviate life traumas, enable access to education and improve financial literacy.
- Suppliers working with other companies to develop sustainable approaches.
These are underpinned by strong corporate governance – our commitment to comply with laws and regulations, and manage our business ethically, responsibly and transparently.
Our 2009 Annual Report and Accounts contains a summary of the progress and performance of our CR programme in 2009. This report will be put to a separate shareholder vote at the 2010 AGM – view the Report.
