Poland: Aviva Vote - who is the main menace on Polish roads
17 May, 2010
The idea of an internet game and accompanying campaign is to convince customers that choosing to take out motor insurance with Aviva means choosing a good company. By deciding to take out insurance with Aviva, customers show that they don't want to be "lumped into the same category" as drivers who are a danger on the roads or who don't have a clue about driving.
Aviva has created a special website www.wybory.aviva.pl, where people can select the main "menace on Polish roads" from several types of drivers: in a hurry, Speedy Gonzales, Sunday driver, the hungry driver and the Barbie doll. For each type of driver there is a short tongue-in-cheek film showing the style of driving of these groups of people.
Every voter can enter their details and they will receive a 5% discount on their motor insurance premium with Aviva.
Furthermore, Aviva has announced a competition with valuable prizes (laptop, GPS navigation) for suggesting other "menaces on the road".
The campaign is supported by Gadu-Gadu (display) and on Facebook, where there is a dedicated profile with a link to the films on YouTube.

As well as the online campaign there will be radio adverts with the slogan "Aviva - a carefully selected company". The campaign will run until the end of June.
"I hope that online users will like the game we have prepared. Using new media is natural for a company which sells insurance over the phone and online. We want to convince potential customers that Aviva is a carefully selected company. It's not for nothing that eight out of 10 of our customers recommend motor insurance with Aviva," says Elżbieta Wójcik, vice-president of Aviva Towarzystwa Ubezpieczeń Ogólnych SA.
Aviva Direct motor insurance includes the following: third party insurance, comprehensive motor insurance, breakdown assistance, accident insurance, windscreen insurance and legal protection insurance. The most important features of this package are:
- The possibility of insuring the discounts you currently have or which you have earned (up to two claims over three years)
- A two-year guarantee on work carried out at garages collaborating with Aviva (over 380 garages across the country)
- Compensation which allows you to purchase a new vehicle from an authorised network of dealerships in the event of the loss of a car less than 12 months old
- The amount of insurance is not reduced by the amount paid in compensation
- A replacement car for the period of time when your car is being repaired, provided that these repairs are carried out in garages collaborating with Aviva
- A wide range of situations in which the insurer will provide towing services for the damaged vehicle and a replacement car as part of the breakdown assistance insurance (eg a replacement car outside Poland).
You can find more details about the Aviva offer for drivers online at www.avivadirect.pl or by phoning 0 801 28 28 28. Our consultants are available Monday to Friday 8am-10pm and 9am-5.30pm on Saturdays.
