Ordinary shares
You can use any bank, building society or stockbroker offering a share dealing facility in order to buy or sell Aviva shares. The commission charged by different organisations will vary.
You can however, also use the Aviva Share Account Share Dealing Facility detailed below, which is provided by the Company's Registrar, Computershare.
If you are in any doubt about buying or selling your shares, you should seek professional financial advice.
Aviva Share Account
If you hold your shares in the Aviva Share Account, you will need to use the Aviva Share Account Share Dealing Facility in accordance with the Aviva Share Account terms and conditions PDF (298KB).
If you wish to use an alternative dealing service to sell your shares, you will need to transfer your shares out of the Aviva Share Account and receive a share certificate. There is an administration fee of £15.50 for transferring shares out of the Aviva Share Account.

How to obtain your Computershare Shareholder Reference Number
On moving the Aviva share register from Equiniti to Computershare, each shareholder has been allocated a new Shareholder Reference Number (SRN) which will be quoted on any future shareholder correspondence.
If you need your SRN, either to use the Computershare share dealing facility, or to use online shareholder services at www.aviva.com/ecomms, you will be able to obtain your SRN by contacting Computershare by telephone on 0871 495 0105*. Computershare will send you a confirmation of your SRN by post, to be received within two business days.
If you need your SRN immediately, Computershare will be able to provide your SRN over the phone providing you can answer some security questions and provide your Equiniti SRN.
How to find dividend information relating to your shareholding
If you log on to the Computershare Investor Centre to view your holding, you will currently find that your historical dividend information is not available. This will be loaded onto the Computershare systems, and become available for you to view online, by no later than mid-August. In the meantime, if you require historical dividend information, you should contact Equiniti on 0871 384 2040**.
