The Group is replacing the EEV basis with the MCEV basis of reporting as its main measure of performance for life and related businesses. The basis of preparation and methodology adopted in compiling restated Group results and balance sheet for 2007 and the six months to 30 June 2008 is described in the Basis of preparation section of this announcement.
