Poland: Aviva vote - the greatest menace on Polish roads has been selected

14 June, 2010

In May Aviva Direct started a fun online campaign to select the most unpopular type of driver, or the greatest menace on Polish roads. The winner was the "Sunday driver". The second part of the competition will run until the end of June on account of the growing interest among online users.

Aviva has created a special website www.wybory.aviva.pl, where people can select the main "menace on Polish roads" from several types of drivers: in a hurry, Speedy Gonzales, Sunday driver, the hungry driver and the Barbie doll. For each type of driver there is a short tongue-in-cheek film showing the style of driving of these groups of people. "Sunday drivers" received the most votes: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptim7NBWt3g.

Online users taking part in the competition also suggested their own least favourite types of driver. The winner and proud owner of a new laptop was Wiesław, a teacher from Krakow who very imaginatively described the mad-hatter with his oracle wife wearing a beret.

The second stage of the competition is to select the most unpopular type of driver from those put forward by online users during the first part of the competition. The following prizes are up for grabs: driving lessons, a laptop, GPS satellite navigation, expert satellite navigation.

Everyone who votes can leave their details and they will get a 5% discount on their premium if they choose to take out insurance with Aviva.

The campaign is supported by Gadu-Gadu (display) and on Facebook, where there is a dedicated profile with a link to the films on YouTube which has already got almost 1,500 fans.
