Alain has overall responsibility for the creation and leadership of global asset management within Aviva. He is a member of the group executive committee.
Alain joined Aviva in September 2007 from HSBC, where he was most recently global head of group investment businesses. Before that he worked at Crédit Commercial de France, where he became sole head of asset management, developed a multi-boutique structure, and founded Sinopia.

Prior to this, Tom was president and chief executive officer of Aviva USA and a director on the company’s USA board. Tom was chairman, president and chief executive officer of AmerUs Group when AmerUs was acquired by Aviva in 2006.

Appointed chief executive, Asia Pacific in July 2007, Simon is responsible for all aspects of Aviva’s business in the markets of Australia, India, Sri Lanka, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan and the Middle East.
Prior to this, Simon was chief executive of Norwich Union Insurance, Aviva’s insurance and motoring services business in the UK. He joined the company in 1994, having previously worked for Ernst & Young and Legal & General.

As group marketing director, Amanda has overall responsibility for all Aviva group marketing, communications and public affairs. She is a member of the group executive committee.
Amanda joined Aviva in March 2008 from Centrica plc, where she was commercial and marketing director for British Gas. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the marketing and advertising profession.

Igal Mayer became chief executive of Norwich Union Insurance, Aviva’s insurance and motoring services business in the UK, in July 2007, having previously been president and chief executive officer of Aviva Canada since May 2001. He is also a member of the group executive committee.
Igal joined Aviva in Canada in 1989 and held senior positions within the organisation including chief financial officer and executive vice-president with responsibility for claims, reinsurance and actuarial.

Prior to joining Aviva in 2007, Anupam was a partner at McKinsey & Company, in its global financial services group. In this capacity, he advised a range of leading insurers and banks in Europe, USA, Asia and Australia on strategy, technology and organisation.
