Haven Insurance Policies Limited – transfer of insurance business
The general insurance business of Haven Insurance Policies Limited was transferred to Norwich Union Insurance Limited at 11.59pm (UK time) on 27 February 2006, in accordance with the terms of the Order of the High Court of Justice in England by Mr Justice Lewison on 22 February 2006 and Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
The independent expert's report concluded that "... the risk of any policyholder being adversely affected by the proposed transfer is sufficiently remote for it to be appropriate to proceed with the Scheme...".
