Hewitt Associates, a human resource management consultation company, has announced that Aviva-Cofco Life Insurance Co, Ltd won the "Hewitt Best Employer in China 2009" award for its clear strategy and excellent performance on human resource management.

The survey to find China’s best employer included responses from nearly two million employees from enterprises in Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Japan and Singapore. The research provides a benchmark of how organisations measure their effectiveness in providing a work environment that engages their employees and delivers value. It provides clear insights into how organisations can achieve a real competitive advantage through their people.

According to the findings of survey, about 76% of employees in Aviva-Cofco are fully engaged in their work, significantly higher than the average domestic score of 49%. In addition, compared with other enterprises, people in Aviva-Cofco at all levels have the same recognition of the company’s strategy. This is based on management commitment, execution, continuous development and effective support from Human Resources. Meanwhile, dedicated employees also make great contributions to growth of customer satisfaction and improvement of business performance.
