Aviva has been declared the best financial services sector employer in Hungary in a prestigious survey of companies throughout Central and Eastern Europe.

"This is the first time we have participated in the survey and we are delighted to have won," said Laszlo Hegedus, HR director, Hungary. "We were up against large employers in a competitive sector and are especially proud that we won because of the ratings our own employees gave us in the questions they were asked."

The survey, by HR consultancy Hewitt, covered areas such as work activities, development, financial and non-financial recognition, work-life balance and teamwork.

There was also a separate questionnaire for the leadership team covering subjects such as culture and strategy.
