Aviva Romania and its brand ambassador Mihaela R¿dulescu have named seven-year-old Andreea-Nicoleta from Timi¿oara in the west of the country, as the beneficiary of an Aviva Scholarship that will give her the option to study at any university in the world.
The scholarship won for Andreea by her mother Mrs Costela Ungureanu in a prize draw, consists of a donation of 3,000 Romanian new leu (RON) (£679) a year, for 10 years.
The campaign on the www.bursadestudii.ro/ website from 3 June - 3 August followed the launch of a new savings product for children called the "Aviva Scholarship".
The plan covers the main expenses of a child's schooling, including: self-study, tuition, exam fees, textbooks, accommodation, transport and meals.
Mihaela R¿dulescu said: "The company's concept struck me as being extremely interesting because it put the emphasis on the importance of the right education in order to succeed in life. The company is offering an amount of money which can be used to cover tuition costs at a prestigious university such as Oxford."
Shah Rouf, CEO, Aviva Romania, added: "Every parent wants nothing but the best for their child: a successful career, a fulfilling family and material comfort. The road to achieving these aims is opened up by an excellent education which doubtless involves a considerable financial outlay. More and more parents are choosing to prepare themselves ahead of time for this moment by means of an accessible, secure and flexible financial plan," said Shah Rouf, CEO Aviva Romania.
The money can be used to cover the cost of studies, to launch a business or to provide financial security for a period of time.
