Aviva Russia employees have taken part in a clean-up project at the Tsytsin Main Moscow Botanical Garden of Academy of Sciences.
The garden covers 360 hectares (890 acres) and is the largest of its kind in Europe. It contains more than 20,000 species of plant from all over the world, a research laboratory, a rosarium, a dendrarium, an oak forest and a 5,000-square metre greenhouse.
"Aviva Russia employees consider this clean-up operation to be their personal commitment to saving the environment," said Andrey Dubinin, CEO Aviva Russia, who took part in the project.
"The Botanical Garden attracts a lot of people, especially parents with children. Once inside, it's hard to believe you're close to the centre of Europe's biggest city. It's a wonderful place for Muscovites to get away from the noise and stress of urban living."
