BITC
We value Business in the Community (BITC) for its practical expertise in a number of fields of CR. We respond annually to Business in the Community's (BITC) Corporate Responsibility Index. In 2009 we achieved Gold Status.
CBI Climate Change Board

Carbon Disclosure Project
Aviva is a founding signatory to, and participant in, the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) since its inception in 2000. We complete the CDP survey annually and publicly disclose the progress we have made on climate change issues. Aviva's asset management business, Aviva Investors, also uses the CDP survey as a tool to engage companies they invest in on issues of disclosure and performance improvement in this area.
Corporate Responsibility Group
In January 2006, Aviva became a member of The Corporate Responsibility Group, a UK network to share and promote best practice in CSR.
HRH Prince of Wales Accounting for Sustainability
The Prince's Accounting for Sustainability project works with organisations and academics to embed sustainability into decision-making and reporting processes. ORC Worldwide
ORC worldwide is a human resources consultancy and advisory organisation who run networks to share best practise and experience. At Aviva we are a member of the the Global Diversity Forum, a network which provides a confidential forum in which members learn from each other and get the information and insight they need to create and adapt effective global diversity strategies.
United Nations Empowerment Programme Finance Initiatives
The United Nations Environment Programme's Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) continues to be a key grouping for Aviva. UNEP FI is a global partnership between UNEP and the financial sector. Over 170 institutions including banks, insurers and fund managers, work with UNEP to understand the impacts of environmental and social considerations on financial performance. We are represented on its climate change and asset management groups and are helping to establish a new group on general insurance.
United Nations Women's Empowerment Principles
The Women's Empowerment Principles are a set of Principles for business offering guidance on how to empower women in the workplace, marketplace and community. They are the result of collaboration between the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM, part of UN Women) and the United Nations Global Compact.
