At Aviva we believe in the value of working with external partnerships and building relationships with leading organisations committed to developing and shaping the corporate responsibility agenda.
These relationships take various forms, including:
- Indexes and benchmarks
Reviewing our corporate responsibility performance is important to us. We complete indexes and benchmarks to help us measure our performance against our peers.
- Affiliations and engagements
We recognise the importance of working with external organisations that can help us deliver on issues that are material to us.
- United Nations Global Compact
The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) works with businesses to deliver ten universally accepted principles around human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
- ClimateWise principles
The ClimateWise principles were launched in September 2007 by HRH The Prince of Wales, who had previously called on the insurance industry to offer a more pro-active and collaborative effort to help reduce the risk of climate change for us all.
- Charity partnerships
As well as country specific charity partnerships that work in the countries in which we operate, we also have a number of global charity partners which we work with to help address challenges facing people and society.
