2011 Sunday Times Top 100 best companies to work for

Amanda Mackenzie, chief marketing and communications officer and Andrew Sharples, organisational development manager.

Aviva is proud that it's Group Centre has been recognised by The Sunday Times in its annual 2011 Best Companies to Work For awards. Aviva Group Centre is the global corporate headquarters based in London. We now employ over 650 people at the Group Centre in roles ranging from finance, IT, brand management, human resources and more. Most of these roles have global responsibilities.

John Ainley, group HR director said: "I am delighted that Aviva, through AGC has been recognised as one of the best 100 companies. This is a result of all the hard work and effort that all of us in the Group Centre and across Aviva have put into bringing to life recognition and significance at work. We will use the experience to decide whether or not to enter the whole of Aviva for a award. We aim to be a very special company, one that genuinely puts our customers and employees first."

Aviva Group Centre also received a one star rating from the Best Companies. The reason we value this award is because it is based on the results of an employee survey so our own people are giving Aviva the thumbs up.

Aviva aims to be an employer of choice in the markets in which it operates. In the past couple of years other business units have won prestigious awards for the workplace that they provide:

  • 2009 - Top 10 Most Admired Corporate Culture - won by Aviva Canada
  • 2009 - Hewitt Best Employers in Asia - won by Aviva-COFCO
