Aviva UKA Major Event Series

Since our sponsorship began in 1999, we have seen the world's best athletes compete against Britain's finest at our globally televised events. The 2009 Aviva UKA Major Events Series – the first of the London Olympiad – promises to be just as exciting with British athletes focused on raising their game as they head towards the European Indoor Championships and this summer's World Championships.

There are six televised Aviva athletics events, scheduled for 2009:

• Aviva International Match, Kelvin Hall, Glasgow – Saturday 31 January
  To be shown live on BBC 1, 2-4.30pm
• Aviva European Trials and UK Championships, English Institute of Sport, Sheffield – Saturday 14 – Sunday 15 February
  To be shown live on Channel 4, Saturday 4-5pm, Sunday 3.45-4.45pm
• Aviva Grand Prix, National Indoor Arena, Birmingham – Saturday 21 February
  To be shown live on the BBC1, 1-4.30pm
• Aviva World Trials and UK Championships, Birmingham – Friday 10 – Sunday 12 July
  To be shown live on the BBC
• Aviva London Grand Prix, London – Friday 24 – Saturday 25 July
  To be shown live on the BBC
• Aviva British Grand Prix, Gateshead – Monday 31 August
  To be shown live on the BBC
