Rewarding personal achievement

Aviva Shine Awards is an awards programme used by schools and clubs to recognise and reward personal development in athletics. They cater for children of all abilities between the ages of three and 18, and also include specially tailored programmes for disabled children.

The awards help children learn and develop individual athletics skills through four levels of activity: "play and learn", "participation", "getting better" and "performance". When used in conjunction with the Virtual Athletics League, schools can even assess their pupils against the rest of the UK.
